  • Abstract
    The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex technology is used in many communication systems. One of the important problems of these systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio of the transmitted signal. This paper presents a new hybrid technique for reduction of the peak-to-average power, which combines an variable Walsh Hadamad precoding technique with a signal companding technique. The paper presents the performance and advantages of the new proposed technique and compares it with other existing methods.
