  • Abstract
    With the increase of people´s needs in the field of mobile communications, the requirements of the mobile terminal are also getting higher and higher. The mobile phone antenna as an important component of the wireless communications, we should consider the multi-band and multifunction characteristics in the design. On the basis of above considerations, we designed a new tri-band (GSM/DCS/ISM) planar inverted F-type mobile phone antenna to meet the needs of applications such as multimode phone, Wifi or Bluetooth. We can achieve the required performance of the antenna by adjusting the length of the gap between the slots and the feed point location, and the two U-shaped slots can produce a tri-band antenna. When the VSWR<;2.5, GSM900, DCS1800 and ISM1800 are all included in the working frequency band. By using software of HFSS, we can simulate the model and optimize the antenna structure to achieve the required frequency and radio characteristics.
