Abstract
In this work, a hybrid method combining the finite element method (FEM) with the boundary integral equation (BIE) is applied to discuss the scattering properties of random rough surfaces. In the region surrounded by the rough surface and the artificial boundary, FEM is used to solve the problem, whereas the artificial boundary condition can be got by BIE. To verify FEM/BIE, the method of moment (MoM) is applied to evaluate the method´s validity, and the dependences of different polarizations, incident angles, correlation lengths and root mean square heights on the bistatic scattering coefficients are discussed in detail.
