Abstract :
For fast analysis of broadband electromagnetic (EM) characteristics of dielectric object, a near-field matrix polynomial interpolation scheme is applied into the method of moments based on the volume integral equation combining with multilayer fast multipole algorithm (VIE-MoM/MLFMA). The polynomial interpolation functions based on Lagrange interpolation polynomial and Chebyshev polynomial are investigated and constructed for fast generating the near-field matrices in frequency sweeps. Interpolation results are compared with the values directly obtained from the volume integration. Numerical results show that the near-field impedance matrix interpolation method has more advantage in regard to reducing the computation time while maintaining the same computational accuracy.
