Abstract
We previously proposed a catheter flow sensor to evaluate the breathing characteristics in small bronchi. An on-wall in-tube thermal flow sensor is mounted on the inside of a tube and used as a diagnostic tool in a bronchoscope. However, the sensor signal output depends on gas temperature. To compensate the flow rate value by the temperature change during breathing, we first integrated the temperature sensing function onto the catheter flow sensor. We also confirmed that it could measure both values of the flow rate and the temperature by each sensing element independently.
