Improving bibliographic search through dataset enrichment using Linked Data

Bibliographic search is an important activity every researcher is involved in. Currently, there are different digital libraries that provide a web-based system for bibliographic search. All these systems have the limitation that they are based on using a single local private dataset. This closed-world view over data reduces quality of search results since no single dataset can be regarded as being complete. In this paper an approach is introduced for enriching a local bibliographic dataset with Linked Data sources. The experimental evaluation shows that this Linked Data driven enrichment is effective in terms of improving bibliographic search results.
