Abstract
This paper deals with inverter-induced bearing currents in low-power brush-less direct-current motors. The types of bearing currents that occur in these motors are identified. Ratio of capacitive coupling of common mode voltage is determined. Correlation between bearing currents and shaft voltage is investigated. Levels and trend line of bearing currents through longer period of time are analysed.
