Abstract :
This paper describes the development process of a multimedia handbook of sensors [1] implemented as a website (on-line or off-line), from selecting the appropriate technologies to the realization [2]. The focus is on the development of interactive models of sensors and on how to use modern methods for distributing and sharing information on websites. Each webpage in the multimedia handbook contains text description of specific sensor principle, basic physical equations, information about practical usage, an interactive animated Microsoft Silverlight model and links to other information sources for the specific type of sensor.
