Abstract :
The project for developing national highway ITS which was based on national ITS master plan has been in process under the management of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. ITS project was intended to deal with such issues as traffic congestion caused by growing regional traffic demand, traffic accident, pollution and deteriorated road environment by various factors including inclement weather, falling stone or freezing in timely manner as well as to improve the road efficiency. This paper reviews ITS-using freeway traffic management system implemented by Busan Construction Management Administration.
