Abstract
Because of the extra ordinary development in electronics technology, small and low-cost sensors have become feasible in our daily life. These sensor nodes sense data such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure or motion in the environment surrounding to them and transmit the sensed data to the sink (or the server). Since wireless sensor networks are made up of small battery powered devices that may not be possible to be recharged or replaced during an operation time. Energy efficient routing is an important and significant issue in design such networks. In this paper we introduce an energy efficient routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks which considers the shortest path route and energy efficiency.
