Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a complete experimental assessment of the Galileo signals received from the new In-Orbit Validation satellites on both the E1 and the E5 bands. The experimental setup used in order to separately receive and process E1, E5a and E5b civil signals is presented and performance results in terms of signal acquisition and tracking during multiple satellite passes are discussed. The signal features are assessed and compared with the expected characteristics as described in the Galileo Interface Control Document specifications.
