Abstract :
The aim of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging is to detect, identify and track the target in the scene. In the paper, a new proposal is discussed to detect the targets in high resolution SAR imagery. First, the improved Lee filter using information entropy is proposed to reduce the noise and keep the detailed characteristic, then a threshold-based segmentation technique is employed to achieve cursory target detection, finally, the feature of target is extracted based on the directed gradient power (DGP). After above operation, the target is accurately detected. And the measured data is used to validate the effectiveness of the method.
