Abstract :
This paper introduces theories related to 3S technology, i.g., remote sensing (RS), geographic information system (GIS) and global positioning system (GPS). We mainly discuss the application of 3S technology in the fishing, aquaculture, marine environmental monitoring, firshing boat navigating and other fields, and survey the comprehensive prospect of 3S technology in the field of marine fishery resources study. In conclusion, we point out that the comprehensive application of 3S technology will be a trend for marine fishery modernization, and 3S technology will also provide the theoretical basis for marine fishery research.
