Abstract
With the growing communication requirements of users, integration of various kinds of networks has become an inevitable trend. However, it is still a problem how to guarantee the QoS requirements, measure the performances of each sub-network, while making a reasonable network selection. In order to solve this problem, a SNR-based access algorithm in CDMA/WLAN heterogeneous networks is proposed, by which, SNR is measured and related with PER so that the user terminal can determine which sub-network to access. Simulation results show that this algorithm can effectively reduce call dropping probability and call blocking probability in the CDMA/WLAN heterogeneous networks.
