Abstract
A single stage diagonal photovoltaic (PV) micro-inverter is proposed with isolated output for single phase configuration. The proposed micro-inverter uses at the input a forward converter in a diagonal topology using only two power switches. A rectified sine wave at 50Hz with 310V amplitude is generated by implementing sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) at 100 KHz. An unfolder in a bridge configuration creates a 220V 50Hz output sine wave. The proposed micro-inverter has advantages like small size, low power losses and a simple architecture with single stage operation.
