Abstract :
This paper presents the measured and analyzed radio channel characteristics found in macro-cellular outdoor environments for the 700 MHz band. The path characteristics at 700MHz seem to be similar to those found at 900MHz, but can´t be truly predicted without research. The path loss characteristics for each area have been exhaustively researched and compared to the WINNER+ model; simplified path loss models based on the WINNER+ model were then developed from the measurement results for outdoor environments. According to the comparison results, the path loss characteristics have different values in the suburban and rural cases, exceeding a 10 dB power level difference. We verified our measurement results by comparing the measurement and ray-tracing results.
