  • Abstract
This paper presents a fast imaging technique which has a potential for the real-time use in short-range UWB radar with synthetic or real array aperture. The reflected field is seen as a convolution of target reflectivity and point spread function of the radar. Iterative regularised deconvolution of the latter out from the acquired data volume delivers a focused 3-D image of the target with high speed due to using FFT and implementation in frequency-wavenumber domain. Performance of the technique has been evaluated for metallic and non-metallic weapons on experimental 5-25 GHz data and compared with that of Kirchhoff migration.
