Abstract
A simulation tool to study resource allocation in multisensor networks is developed. In this tool the sensor nodes are assumed to be different kind of re-locatable platforms (e.g. surface-based or air-based) possessing multiple sensor front-ends (e.g. multifunctional radars, electro-optical cameras and/or acoustic arrays). Furthermore, the sensors are assumed to be reconfigurable: they are very flexible in terms of configurations and are able to provide new capabilities by reconfiguring. The simulator can be used to quickly predict the mission result at given scenarios, deployed resources and configurations. The simulator structure and principles are explained, and examples of the simulator operation are given.
