Abstract
Noise Radar are systems that provide high performance against external interference, intentional or not, and low range sidelobes. Since random signals are employed as transmitted waveforms, supression of the range ambiguity is guaranteed as well. This paper addresses general expressions for phase/frequency modulated random signals having an uniformly distributed phase shift, introduced by local oscillators. Mathematical analyses involving four important magnitudes for radar systems show that low range sidelobes as well as no range ambiguities are still achieved.
