Abstract
This paper presents the analysis and real results of the sea target detection using the GSM-based passive radar demonstrator. The main goal of the research was to validate the possibility of sea target detection using the PCL (Passive Coherent Location) technology that exploits mobile network transmitters as illuminators of opportunity. The measurement trials carried out by Warsaw University of Technology in September 2011 on the Baltic coast finished with successful detections. Preliminary results of the experiments are presented in this paper.
