Abstract :
A novel, reversible, data hiding method is presented in this paper. The proposed method focuses on hiding secret data in block truncation coding (BTC) compressed images. Conventionally, each block of an image compressed by BTC is encoded by two representative gray levels and a bitmap. The secret data can be embedded according to the order of each pair of gray levels. Moreover, we generated the histogram of an image by different types of each block´s bitmap and slightly modified the values to embed data. The proposed method was compared with some existing reversible data hiding schemes, and the experimental results demonstrate that our method can embed more secret data while preserving high image quality after embedding.
