Abstract
This paper proposes a direct power control scheme of a doubly-fed induction generator under wind speed variations. The PI controllers are used to control active and reactive power. A control scheme is developed that uses stator flux orientated vector control. Power transfers are carried out in hyper synchronous and hypo synchronous mode, depending on the generator speed. Back to back converters with PWM control are used for both grid side and rotor side converter.
