Abstract
This paper presents results of investigation of the resonant particle intended to be used in design of metamaterial with negative refraction index that shows the isotropic response to irradiating wave. The particle has planar structure, therefore it can be simply fabricated by a standard PCB technology. The resonant planar particle is composed of two double H-shaped resonators. The first resonator uses the response to electric field producing negative electric polarizability at its first resonance, whereas the second resonator works at its second resonance producing negative magnetic polarizablity. A cube bearing six resonators on its faces represents the unit cell of double negative metamaterial with isotropic response.
