Abstract :
The purpose of this work is to develop a low cost home automation based sensor system for remote monitoring the behavior of elder people at their own homes. With a combination of data obtained from strategically placed sensors and a series of editable rules, an abnormal behavior can be detected and the corresponding action taken.
