Abstract :
This paper describes the development of a wireless gas sensor network. The system consists of Sensor nodes, Routers and Coordinator. Coordinator is connected to a personal computer (PC) using USB/Ethernet. This wireless network is capable of collecting the data (Gas concentration) of monitoring sites wirelessly and sending to the PC to update the values in Control Station Software (CSS). It can give real time monitoring of potential risk area and locate the leakage point. This paper also covers the details regarding the specifications of the system developed and the choices made to achieve the specifications.
