  • Abstract
In this paper, we attempt to envision - in the spirit of a mind experiment - a specific and practicable engineering course (an engineering studio) using as our guide the basic principles of John Dewey´s educational philosophy, which continues to influence all levels of American education (as can be seen, for example, in references to his ideas on education in the Boyer Report).
