Abstract
This paper presents a system design approach that uses wireless sensor network based on short-term forecasting and environmental monitoring system for urban special site application, which is mainly divided into system architecture, hardware and software framework respectively. Wireless sensors are responsible for collecting the real-time environmental and meteorological data from all kind of urban special sites, such as park, airport, and commercial district, etc. Such relevant data will be transmitted to SINK note and terminal analysis as well as evaluation system. Finally, processed data will be broadcast to nearby communities by certain rules. The main contribution of this paper is the new system design which meets the demands for urban special site preventing, mitigating disasters, social activities, and fine weather service, etc.
