Abstract :
Manipulator developed in the recent years is a kind of new-type machine which can replace the traditional manual operation. With the sharp development of science and technology, particularly the rapid expansion of electronic technique, manipulator plays a more and more important role in the industry of robot, and moreover, manipulator is increasingly indispensable in our daily life as well as industry and agriculture. This paper introduction principle and application of PLC for manipulator, and design manipulator hardware structure. AC motors are used to drive the horizontal axis and the vertical axis so as to control the horizontal axis and the vertical axis of manipulator designed in this paper, to achieve its accurate positioning, micro switch transfers position signal to PLC host machine; and position signal is fed back to PLC host machine by approach switch. PLC provides pulses to pulse electromagnetic valve so as to control the opening and closing of manipulator, to realize its function of accurate movement.
