Abstract :
In this paper, is presented an efficient CAN(Controller Area Network) diagnostic fault simulator based on UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) protocol. The diagnostic option plays an important role to identify and locate the causes of failures. Because the vehicle´s CAN network became more complex, today the CAN diagnosis is implemented as the most important feature of the communication. The simulated diagnostic tool uses the UDS protocol for interrogate the ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) which are connected to the vehicle´s network.
