  • Abstract
The paper presents the conclusions which have been drawn using statistical inference tools, based on the data collected during measurements of breath alcohol mass concentrations. Measurements have been made over eight different standard solutions, prepared by gravimetric method. The concentration of these ethanol in water solutions cover the standard measuring range of a breath alcohol analyser: (0 ... 3,00) mg/L. The simulator system used to certify mass concentration standards of alcohol is based on the principle of “bubble-train”, according to OIML R126, consisting of three thermostated flasks, Mark II A Type and calibrated breath alcohol analysers, Alcotest 9510 type and Alcotest 7110 type. In order to process the raw data the outliers were removed from the measured data, using the Grubbs test. Calibration curves have been raised for both analysers. In the same time has been conducted a stability study which demonstrate significant loss of mass concentration of alcohol after 100 measurements.
