Abstract
The paper studies the electromagnetic interference problem between an existing high voltage power line and a newly designed underground pipeline. Induced currents and voltages are evaluated for different steady state operating conditions of the power line. Obtained induced AC currents and voltages are compared to international regulation limits to identify potentially hazardous zones on pipeline. The aim is to evaluate the AC corrosion likelihoods of pipelines and suggest proper mitigation solutions.
