Abstract
We have revealed a giant exchange bias (EB) in a colossal magnetoresistance Nd2/3 Ca1/3 MnO3 manganite at low temperatures, evident of its intrinsic interface exchange coupling. The phenomenon found confirms our previous assumption that the low temperature magnetic structure of the compound is represented by small (nano-sized) ferromagnetic clusters immersed within the charge-ordered antiferromagnetic matrix. Magnetic behavior of the Nd2/3 Ca1/3 MnO3 perovskite at low temperature is consistent with its cluster-glass magnetic state originating from the self-organized phase separation. Slow relaxation of zero-field-cooled magnetization has been experimentally revealed as well. It confirms the cluster glass magnetic state of the compound.
