Message from TPC co-chairs

It is our pleasure to present to you the technical program of COMSNETS 2013. The conference program includes 47 paper presentations (including 9 invited papers) and 12 posters. The papers and posters address a broad range of interesting topics in the areas of communication systems and networking. The Technical Program Committee had 68 members from around the world. We received 144 paper submissions of which 38 were accepted, an acceptance rate of approximately 26%. The list of authors truly reflects the international character of COMSNETS. There is also a good share of papers from industry research labs. The submissions were first reviewed for compliance with the submission and formatting guidelines with the help of automated software and student volunteers. All compliant submissions were reviewed by the TPC members with at least 3 reviews for each paper. The final decisions were made after a conference call of the TPC members. We would like to wholeheartedly thank all TPC members for providing detailed reviews and participating enthusiastically in the conference call. We understand that serving on the TPC is a significant time commitment. We also have 9 invited papers in the conference program. These are from leading researchers in the areas of communication and networking. We thank these authors for accepting our invitation and for agreeing to attend the conference and present their papers. All posters submissions were reviewed and selected by the poster chair, Vikram Srinivasan (Alcatel- Lucent Bell Labs, India). Twelve posters papers were accepted.
