Abstract :
The aims of this paper treats to investigate the hybrid power systems which the fuel cell stack is acted as a main power source and the battery as an energy balancer except for supplying the fuel cell stack´s auxiliary power and modulating the excessive or insufficient power for the load to increase the efficiency of proton-exchange-membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Some results shows that the high efficiency of PEM fuel cells operating with a partial load results in a good fuel economy for the purpose of recharging batteries within a fuel cell system.
