Abstract :
Based on measurements and simulations, this paper develops three failure modes to describe the radio frequency immunity of the crystal oscillator module of complex integrated circuits. Each failure mode is effective in a certain range of the interference frequency. The definition of the failure modes helps to understand the intrinsic frequency response of the naked circuit modules on the chip. It is an important step to explain and to calculate the complex frequency response of the immunity of the whole complex integrated circuits.
