Abstract :
Based on the research of polarity conversion algorithm of ISFPRM (incompletely specified fixed polarity Reed-Muller) expansion and power estimation model of XOR/AND circuits, a power optimization approach for ISFPRM circuits is proposed. First of all, ISFPRM expansion is derived from incompletely specified Boolean function, then the power consumption of ISFPRM circuits with different DC-terms (don´t care terms) is estimated, and the best allocation of DC-terms is determined at last. Experiments show that the proposed approach can decrease the power compared to the algorithm neglecting DC-terms.
