Abstract :
This paper applies uniform geometrical theory of diffraction(UTD) to calculate passive radar signal diffraction loss, and derived expression uniform geometrical diffraction field distribution under UTD theory Compared with conventional wedge diffraction model and combined with the feature of the electromagnetic propagation based on passive radar, the electromagnetic propagation of diffraction models based on UTD for passive radar are presented and the electromagnetic propagation loss problems of the dielectric wedge diffraction for passive radar are researched. Finally, the simulation of the model is executed and the conclusions are analyzed. The results offer the reference for the computation and application of the diffraction loss for passive radar, when the electromagnetic wave propagates over obstacles.
