Design and development of high frequency transformer for isolated DC-DC converter

The HF transformers are largely used in converter applications. The converter uses full bridge inverter - High frequency transformer - High frequency rectifier scheme to provide galvanic isolation between input and output. The design and development of HF transformer is discussed. HF transformer consists of full-bridge inverter on primary side and a fast recovery rectification method on secondary side. The proposed HF transformer is developed and experimentally verified in prototype module.
