Abstract :
We find that quasi-phase-matching by periodic insertions of pump-phase-shifters into a highly nonlinear fiber enables parametric gain flat and broad. The insertion of the shifter broadens 0.3-dB gain bandwidth to 30 nm from 9 nm.
