Abstract :
Hydrotherapy is a rehabilitation exercise which utilizing water buoyancy to give support and protection for patients with symptoms of muscular dystrophy or physical disable patients, such as stroke, cerebral palsy...etc. Traditionally life jackets or inflated swimming vest were used as assistive device, the patients found difficult to put on and off from the vest, and so as the caretaker. In order to improve and making hydrotherapy much more effective, this research propose a new design in the assistive flotation jacket with top-down wearing method that finds more easy to put on the jacket and adjustable buoyancy for individual needs for different level of buoyancy.
