Abstract :
In this paper an intelligent power distribution system for an isolated village supplied with renewable energies is proposed. The system different components are described. The control and management algorithms have been implemented in a PIC microcontroller. The measurement and control unit has been realized. Measurements and tests have been carried out at different points in the unit. Control and faults situations have also been simulated on the setup. Satisfying results in terms of consumer´s energy/power measuring and display have been obtained. Command tests from a computer playing the role of the central management unit have also been performed. Limited capacity and fault situations have also been tested. The corresponding loads were instantaneously disconnected.
