  • Abstract
Fleet Vehicles are critical assets in many organisations whose costs form a significant portion of expenditure. Managing these important assets is essential if they are to be utilised in an optimal and cost effective fashion. The need to reduce carbon emissions has complicated this by making Ultra Low Carbon Vehicles a desirable option for many organisations. Well founded procurement decisions are essential but are difficult due to uncertainty as to the lifespan of the vehicles, the residual value of the vehicle and the price of energy across the period in question. Depreciation is a key factor in ultra low carbon vehicle management and this issue needs to be addressed as part of an ongoing monitoring and maintenance strategy. In this paper we will investigate these issues and develop a new asset management strategy for Ultra Low Carbon Feet Vehicles.
