Abstract :
The distributed generation (DG) connection into the distribution network may lead to significant changes of voltage on network because of changing power flow in system. This paper will propose some approaches to control the voltage for the network with any type of configuration: many loads, many feeders originated from one busbar and more than one DG, with the coordination between DG and utility. The two scenarios are carried out: one with no communication between DGs and utility, one-with the communication. For the first case, the paper presented the way to determine the referenced voltage on the secondary side of distribution substation. For the latest, the resolving is based on genetic algorithm (GA). The results of simulation indicate that proposed control methods can be applied well in Vietnamese conditions.
