Abstract :
Recent deregulation has increased inter-area electricity transactions. Also, renewable energy and distributed power generation have been introduced into power systems because of worldwide societal interest in environmental problems. However, renewable energies such as photovoltaic and wind power generation are unstable due to their dependence on natural sources. This has made power systems more complicated and potentially prone to large outages, particularly due to transient stability problem. Tie-line Available Transfer Capability (ATC) is an important transaction index. Previous ATC research has mainly focused on fast calculation, but more flexible transactions should also improve ATC. We propose an efficient generator output adjustment method for improving transient stability in ATC, taking into account calculation speed and economy.
