  • Abstract
    A micro strip antenna with a semi-elliptical patch and an L shaped micro strip feed line is incorporated. It is printed on a 4cm × 5cm × 1.6mm Fire Redundant-4 epoxy substrate (FR-4). Dual hexagonal slots are incorporated on a partial ground plane which comprises of a rectangular and a semi circular portion. The input impedance, return loss, radiation pattern and VSWR plots are presented. The proposed antenna design is feasible for UWB applications.
