Using computer network to cultivate English learner autonomy

With the integration of computer technology into language learning curriculums, Network-based autonomous English learning mode has been on its way to gaining popularity in China. By providing an overview on Network-based English learning and discussing its autonomous feature, this paper mainly studies the major problems arising in it and the elements involved in this learning environment, there, aiming to find out the effective approaches brought by computer technology to foster learner autonomy and further improve this e-learning mode.
