  • Abstract
    The paper presents laboratory experimentation with a simulated field environment to evaluate Multi-Carrier EV-DO data traffic performances in a Radio Access Network (RAN). The performance of the EV-DO system in terms of call setup success rate (CSSR), call dropped connection rate (DCR), RF failure rate (RFFR) is investigated and the performance in terms of forward-link as well as reverse-link best-effort data throughput for an EV-DO system with Rev ´B´ AT´s is also addressed. These performance results are compared with field data and have been benchmarked through experimental studies to see the overall call performance stability of the Multi-Carrier EV-DO system.
