Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to develop a risk identification knowledge base for the process industry. Risk identification it is an important part of the process of risk management. The knowledge base is represented in ontology form.. This paper work involves research in the area of risk identification and then the construction of an ontology to represent this knowledge. The various methods of risk identification are the classes of this ontology. This was constructed in a program called Protégé 2000, which was developed by Stanford University.
