Abstract :
Power transformer is the most expensive and critical equipment in an electric power system. As the insulating material paper press board mineral oil are used in power transformer degraded due to ageing. The main function of the insulating oil is as coolant, insulating material and suppresses corona and arcing and is a medium to provide the information about the condition of power transformer. Due to the chemical, electrical, thermal and mechanical stress the insulating material in the power transformer degraded. It is important to regularly assess the condition of oil and the remaining life of the power transformer. Reclaim or replacing whenever required avoiding the failure of the power transformer. In this paper Relative Contents of Dissolved Decay are analysed and correlated with DGA, IFT and Density of Transformer Oil
