  • Abstract
    This paper presents a intelligent controller based on fuzzy logic to the terminal dc voltage control of the system composed of the variable speed wind associated a self-excited induction generator. The Indirect Rotor Flux Oriented Control (IRFOC) technique is used to ensure the DC-bus voltage regulation when change in speed and load condition. The Fuzzy logic controller constitutes a powerful tool to improving the quality of the electric voltage delivered by the wind generator through a power converter connected to a single capacitor on the DC side. The simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed controller is better than that the conventional PI controller when the speed of the rotor and also, the load on the generator are varied.
